Free workshop: how to retrofit your home

23rd March 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Person insulating a wall

With the current soaring energy prices and environmental impact of fossil fuel consumption, more and more people are trying to find out what they can do to improve their home – retrofitting is one of them!

So what is it? Retrofit is the process of improving the energy efficiency of a building – this could be through insulation, equipment such as boilers and heat pumps, double and triple glazing of windows, and lighting and heating systems.

In this free workshop we will bring together professionals from the retrofit industry to share their knowledge of how to go about retrofitting your home and to share their experience of their own retrofit projects. This includes how to get started, looking at the different approaches to retrofitting, coming up with a retrofit plan, how to retrofit in a cost effective way and tips on avoiding issues such as damp. The session will be followed by a Q&A.

Please follow this link to book your place.

Note: this is an information and discussion workshop, not a practical demonstration.

This event is hosted by Energise Sussex Coast with the help of Warm this Winter and the National Lottery Community Fund.
