This community energy project will create an accessible guide and route map to net zero in Camber and Rye Harbour that includes solutions for low income homes. This will include practical solutions that can be implemented by the community and Parish council in the next 5 years, as well a vision for affordable green heat and power for the long term.
Energise Sussex Coast is working with Camber Parish Council and residents, with technical expertise provided by Buro Happold engineers.
Energise Sussex Coast will support residents with weekly energy advice desks, community events and workshops around saving energy and renewable energy and heat. We will work closely with the Parish Council and a working group made up of residents to progress the project and to look for opportunities to take forward and fund the recommendations in the report.
This project is funded by the Government’s Rural Community Energy Fund.
