Free workshop: DYI underfloor insulation

Join us for a practical 2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop held in a family home in St Leonards-Sea.
This workshop is aimed at people that would like to learn how to insulate under a suspended floor. It is designed for non technical people and there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions about your own property.
In this session you will learn along side the homeowner and all learn the DYI skills of how to insultate under a suspended floor. The workshop will be led by a sustainable building expert advising the homeowner and a handyman giving practical advice.
The session will start with an introductory talk about how to insulate your home, it will then be followed by a practical demonstration of how to insulate under suspended floors and you will get a chance to join in and help insulate so you can learn the skill and take it back to your own home.
By insulating your floors, you can prevent heat loss from your property in the winter by retaining heat, making your home more energy efficient and reducing your energy bills. It can make a real difference to our older housing stock.

As this event is being held in someone’s home the spaces are very limited. If the event is full and you wish to join us, please add yourself to the waiting list and we will let you know if a space becomes available.

The event is being held in West St Leonards, 5 minutes walk from West St Leonards train station. The address will be sent to you a week before the event. This is to protect the privacy of the homeowner.
Accessibility: there are 2 sets of stair cases involved to access the house and the basement and unfortunately there is no step free access. Please get in touch to discuss any access needs.
