Cost of Living Crisis Funding Received from the National Lottery

Sussex-based community benefit society Energise Sussex Coast (ESC) is pleased to announce a substantial grant from the National Lottery’s Cost of Living Fund. This vital funding will enable the organisation to meet the surging demand for its energy advice service, which saw a significant increase in inquiries and assistance requirements. Last year alone, the service aided 775 households, responding to the pressing need for crisis warmth support and help with lowering bills and managing the cost of energy. With this extra funding Energise Sussex Coast can increase its Energy Advice Helpline capacity and provide additional electric blankets to support vulnerable community members during the upcoming winter season.

As one client poignantly expressed last year, “I don’t know how I’m going to survive this,” underscoring the critical importance of Energise Sussex Coast’s ongoing efforts to provide essential support and alleviate the impacts of fuel poverty.
