Energise Sussex Coast is delighted to receive a £5,000 grant from the Sussex Community Foundation. This will fund our energy advice service. It means we can continue our energy advice community desks at food banks and other community venues. We can offer in person appointments, alongside telephone appointments.
The support couldn’t have come at a better time. We have seen demand for our service double over the past year. Energy prices are going up by 54% in April and up again in October this year. The effect on people living on a low income will be devastating with many being forced to choose between heating and eating.
