As part of Big Energy Saving Week 2018 ESC visited Downs Farm Community Centre to run an energy advice cafe. We offered residents a free breakfast and face painting and local energy champion Aaron was also on hand with his solar demo kit demonstrating solar energy to the local residents association.
In late 2017 we started to build a relationship with the Downs Farm Residents Association by running events like this and planning projects with the volunteer management team. We want to support the good work volunteers are doing to keep the centre actively used and work with local residents to improve access to cheaper energy, advise on reducing energy and setting up community energy projects.
